My name is Stefano and I am a sophomore at USC. Alan, a sophomore at Berkeley, will also be posting on this blog. We made this blog last year when we were freshmen (hence the name). Before I go on, I would like you to do two things:

  1. Please read the “About” section of our blog to get a general idea of why we started this blog.
  2. If you’re the least bit interested in self-improvement/positive thinking, check out HighExistence.com. Or, at the very least, read this post.

Now that you’ve read “About” this blog and hopefully gotten something positive out of HighExistence, you should have a pretty good idea of what we’re trying to do here with this blog.

Inspired by what Jordan Lejuwaan has done with HighExistence, we want to create a community of open-minded, positive thinking individuals trying to make the most of  their college experience (and really, the rest of our lives). We will not only be posting blogs, but sharing pictures, videos, and links to things you probably wouldn’t come across in your ordinary day.

We encourage you to share your thoughts about what we have to say and to provide us with any suggestions about topics to discuss. I look forward to hearing from you!

  1. Hey everyone! Alan here.

First off, thanks Stefano for a great job covering what FreshmenAgain is all about. Stefano was the one that introduced me to highexistence.com, our inspiration to start this blog. When I first browsed the site I was hooked on its culture. The community seemed unafraid to question anything or try different things. Everyone wanted to be someone better. We hope to replicate this mentality here at FreshmenAgain.

Like Stefano said, we want to connect to those of you in college. We felt that our attraction to highexistence had something to do with the culture shock we experienced in entering a new stage of our lives. I’ve joked with Stefano, calling this period a “second puberty”– this time more mental (and less hairy). Now more than ever, I question. I want to learn just as much about myself as the world around me.

While we aren’t trying to exclude anyone, we want to focus on the college lifestyle and make sure students take advantage of all of its opportunities outside the classroom and become the best person they can be.

And don’t forget we are just as engaged in this journey as our readers. The two of us are only about to enter our second year of college so don’t think we consider ourselves experts on anything. On the contrary, we’ve found that curious and even ignorant minds inspire others. This is a community that will offer inspiration and knowledge, besides pure and strict academics, to give you the comfort in making you own choices. We are here to question and stimulate!

Hope to hear from you guys soon,
